A choice of study and career paths
Germany offers international students a range of options, including university study and vocational training. The right route depends on your education, interests and the career you want to pursue.
When comparing programmes, look closely at the subject, admission requirements, language expectations and how the course connects to your longer-term goals.
Fields to explore
Healthcare and nursing, engineering, information technology and business are among the fields students commonly explore. Vocational training in Germany can combine classroom learning with practical experience, while university programmes offer academic routes in many disciplines.
Research each option carefully and check its current entry requirements with the institution or relevant authority.
Prepare for the journey
Start by listing your qualifications and preferred fields. Then check language expectations, application dates and the documents you may need. Planning for accommodation, insurance and everyday life is also part of preparing to study abroad.
